Zitat:
Hey guys! Had the same problem. First didn't know what was the problem with the radical change in screen resolution from the native 1024x600 to 1024x768. After an unfortunate accident (the netbook made contact with the floor in a hard way) and then the resolution went again to 1024X600. The problem is not one of software but a lack of contact from the signal connector behind the screen. So be advised that this is a 5 min maximal repair that anyone that held in his hands a screwdriver can do it.
Things you need: scalpel or a small flatted screwdriver or a small cutter for removing the round overhead plastic of the two screws that hold the monitor case. There are located above the hinges in the right and left side of the screen.
Second: Remove the two screws with a small cross screwdriver and carefully take off the inner part of the display casing( CAUTION: the plastic is fragile and it can brake if applied to much force in order to remove it!!!)
Third: there are 4 screws that you must unscrew to remove the back plastic cover of the monitor. After unscrewing them you should see above the monitor the microphone and the webcam. Gently remove the microphone and webcam pcb but beware that there are glued on the plastic so do the removal with care and patience.
Fourth: You can see on the back of the screen the connector that is going to the aprox. lower middle part of the screen. On top of the connector there is a plastic sheet that has on it's margins a glue. Try patiently to remove only the plastic cover that is above the connector (It took me well over 1 minute to take it of in order not to break it). After that gently push the connector in and secure it by placing the plastic cover over it and securing to the black of the screen.
That's all! Hopefully it will work and make you're day happier! I would give it a try to see if it worked and the go back the steps that I mentioned an you will use it like a new one.

Sehr cool!

liebe Grüsse
Berni
