Hallo zusammen
Ich versuche nun schon seit mehreren Tagen meine neue (von einem Freund bekommen) Grafikkarte so einzurichten, das ich zwei Bildschirme habe. Leider startet der xserver nicht mehr, egal wie ichs einstell. Wenn ichs Grafisch mach, oder die xorg.conf händisch bearbeite, nichts funkt. Hab vorher eine G550 Matrox Millenium gehabt, bei der ging das mit wenigen handgriffen. Habs bis wetzt mit dem wiki von ubuntuusers versucht und mit folgendem link.

letzteres formte meine xorg.conf folgendermasen um:

Wenn ich den xserver nun starten will schrreibt er, "No Screens found"
Kann mir bitte da jemand weiterhelfen??? Oder eine funktionierende xorg.conf posten, damit ich diese auf meine abändern kann. Oder mir einfach einen Tipp geben, was ich da falsch mache

Hello
mach mal ein
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
damit konfigurierst du deinen X-Server mal neu...
...nach dem händischen Ändern musst du auch immer
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
ausführen....
steht sogar in der xorg.conf

Hallo Marion
Wenn ich den Befehl
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
ausführe, wird die xorg.conf wieder so eingerichtet, das nur auf ein Monitor funkt, bzw auf beiden Monitoren das selbe Bild zu sehen ist.
Dann stehe ich wieder am Anfang des Problems. Ich möchte das ganze gerne so einrichten, das ich auf zwei Monitoren arbeiten kann und Fenster und sonstiges zwischen den Monitoren hin und herschrieben kann.
Weißt du, wie ich das realisieren kann?
Den Befehl
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
hab ich anscheinend überlesen, werde das aber gleich am Abend testen.
Sonst würde meine xorg.conf so passen, oder hab ich da irgendeinen Fehler drin?

In der xorg.conf sind massenhaft Fehler drin.
Welches programm hat die geschrieben ?
Am besten mit der Hand schreiben.

Mit dem Befehl
sudo aticonfig --initial
wurde diese xorg.conf erstellt
Den link, wie genau ich das gemacht hab, steht im ersten Beitrag.
Kannst du mir bitte etwas helfen und mir sagen, wo genau der Hund da begraben ist?
Ich arbeite jetzt zwar schon fast ein Jahr mit Kubuntu, bei der installation bin ich allerdings noch ein blutiger Anfänger
